  • Does SixOnSergeant accept NSFAS
    Yes, only students that have approved confirmation letters from NSFAS. Tenants are required to promptly pay their month to month rental. We do not wait for NSFAS to make pay outs. Other bursaries or scholarships are also accepted.
  • What is the length of the lease agreement?
    Our contract is strictly month to month for a period of 11 months. No contract will be back dated
  • How do I book a tour for a room?
    Viewing of an apartment are only by appointments. Either book online or book an appointment by contacting us via email, WhatsApp or phone call.
  • Can I choose a specific room?
    Yes, only on the condition that there is space available.
  • Can I choose my friend to be my roommate?
    Yes, only if your friend is of the same gender as you. No cohabiting is allowed!
  • How do I know when a room has been allocated to me?
    By receiving an approved online application, and further confirmation from management.
  • Do I need to vacate my room during the holidays?
    No, only when your contract is terminated or expired. However, the tenant will have to notify the office when they leave during the holidays?
  • Are there rules regarding noisiness ?
    Noise is strictly prohibited and tenants will be charged or/dismissed from the premises within 30 days notice of termination.
  • Can I smoke in my room?
    Tenants are not allowed to smoke inside their rooms, whatsoever, that will be regarded as a serious offence and serious steps will be taken.
  • May I invite friends over ?
    Yes, only during the day until 20h00
  • May my friends/family sleep over?
    No friends or family members are allowed to sleepover. They should arrange their own accommodation elsewhere. Unless its a serious emergency, only 1 family member will be accommodated for only 2 days.
  • Is there a curfew?
    Yes, the curfew is from 20h00 until the next morning.
  • Is Wi-Fi available?
    Wi-Fi is partially available. Tenants are advised to have their own pocket router or data.
  • Do all rooms have TVs?
    Not all rooms have TVs, unless its specified in the room description.
  • Are there on-site laundry facilities?
    Our properties have laundry facilities. Laundry tokens can be bought for R5.
  • Will my room be cleaned?
    Cleaning services can be requested or arranged for R250. However, tenants are responsible for cleaning their own rooms.
  • How do I report maintenance issues?
    Report strictly through emailing management.
  • Are there house rules?
    Yes, the house rules are attached on our contract and they can also be accessed on our website ( attached on the website footer ).
  • Is there parking available?
    Yes, there is free parking available at every property.
  • When can I check-in?
    You can check-in anytime between 1 February to 1 December, except for unique cases.
  • Where do I go to check-in on the date of my arrival?
    Straight to the specific property that you applied for.
  • How do I access my room?
    The keys will be handed over to tenants by management.
  • How do I access the property?
    Tenants are/will be registered through our cellphone-gate system.
  • When do I check-out?
    On the date stipulated on your contract
  • How and when do I request a check-out inspection?
    % days prior to your check-out
  • What type of payment options are there?
    No cash transactions are allowed, only EFT and direct deposits with the correct references.
  • What fees are payable before I occupy my room?
    There is a once-off non-negotiable R5 500 deposit.
  • Do I pay yearly fees?
    Yes, if tenants wish to renew their contract they are required to pay a R1 100 renewal management fee.
  • What fees are payable with my application?
    A non-negotiable pro-rata fee of R400 that is paid along with the deposit( Inclusive on deposits).
  • Is electricity included in my monthly payment?
    We partially provide electricity for the main meter box, however tenants will have to buy their own pre-paid electricity.

  • How do I apply?
    You can apply through our online application system. Please read the instructions before proceeding with the application.
  • How do I know my application has been sent?
    You will receive a confirmation email that will be sent to your email address.
  • What amount do I pay when I apply?
    There are no payments when apply. However, once you have received a confirmation letter from management you will have to pay the deposit amount of R5 500.
  • How do I know my application has been accepted?
    You will receive an email from us stating that a room has been allocated to you.
  • What do I need to attach to my application?
    The following documents need to be attached: A certified ID copy (student) Proof of residence Proof of confirmation from NSFAS A certified ID copy (parent/guardian) Proof of Registration from the university 3 Month Bank Statement
